Cricket activity in the state starts on a frenetic note from
July onwards with conduct of the city league as well as the inter districts
tournaments followed by Board tournaments. The schedule is very tight in all
age group categories as also for the Ranji Trophy which is preceded by the
KSCA,BuchiBabu and Moin-ud-dowlah tournaments where most of our players
participate.
Regular preparatory camps are conducted with the help of
qualified coaches and trainers for all the age groups before they represent the
State in the Board level tournaments. The selectors of the various age groups
are also accountable for the performance of the teams in the respective Board
matches.
Most of the former Test and Ranji Trophy cricketers are involved
the activities of TNCA either as Selector or Coach. The contribution from the
former players has always helped in the improvement of the game at all levels
as also in the conduct of various camps held in the City and Districts.
